Hi, my name is John from Competitive Edge Cyclery in Upland, California and today I'm going to be showing you some of the different components that are on BMX bikes. This is the handlebar assembly on a BMX bike. The difference between the handles on a BMX bike and a mountain bike are they're higher rise than your traditional bike like a normal kid bike. It has a heavy duty fork on it which also has a peg on the front for grinding, sliding and also foot positions for doing tricks, a heavy duty chrome alloy frame. It also has a small seat which is usually a lot lower than this. This bike happens to have a three piece BMX crank with a smaller chain ring in the front and a real small free wheel in the back. It also has heavy duty rims for doing tricks that will hold up during jumps and stuff like that. This happens to have a sealed bottom bracket as well. All that makes up a BMX bike.
