My name is Dwan Kelsey and I'm a nurse practitioner with wellLIFE, a diabetes clinic and educational resource center located in Raleigh, North Carolina and we will be discussing ways to naturally lower your blood pressure. Ways to naturally lower your blood pressure one effectively that we know of is through exercise. We have to incorporate some type of exercise into our daily activity some kind of way. I often times tell my patients what time of day is your time of day? Are you a morning person, are you a night person, are you at your optimal in the afternoon, whatever time is your optimal time, then try to incorporate some type of activity during that particular time because then you are more prone to stay with it. It's more sustainable. So exercise has, is a proven way to naturally lower blood pressure. Another way to naturally lower blood pressure is by foods, is decreasing the amount of sodium or salt that is in your diet. So, that's why we are not an advocate of canned foods. We're not an advocate of processed foods because those foods contain lots and lots of sodium and salt which will raise the blood pressure. So natural ways to successfully lower blood pressure would be by exercising and by decreasing the amount of sodium and salt within one's diet. That was basic information.
