Hi, my name is Tanya, and I'm an Instructor at Gold's Gym. I want to show you some weight loss exercises that you can do with dumbbells. So, the key to getting your heart rate up where you can lose weight is getting these dumbbells out and getting them over your head so your heart rate is really going to start to increase. Alright. So, a great way to start is, I want to turn to my side just so you can see what I'm doing. I'm going to step back, got my dumbbells here; actually, I'm going to reach them forward as I step back and pull. So, all I'm doing, pulling the weight into side. "Whew". It's like a knee, "Whew", with the dumbbell pull. Pull. Two more, "Whew"; last one, "Whew". That just gets the heart rate up 'cause the arms are extended; I'm having to pull them in. Another one is boxing with dumbbells. Fantastic. You don't have a bag, who cares. Grab some dumbbells, cross right here. Just jabbing on an angle so you can kind of see what I'm doing. You can jab straight ahead if you want to; but, a lot of muscles are working here. Now, pulling is getting that lean muscle mass; going to increase lean muscle and it's going to increase your metabolism and you're going to lose weight. This is a jabbing; I'm going to uppercut now. My elbows are enclose, I'm jabbing underneath pretending I got somebody right in front of me. Jabbing underneath the chin. "Whew, whew, whew"; four, three, two, one. Now, I'm going to hook. You want a ninety degree arm, hook it; hook, hook. Heart rate's going up; for four, three, two, one. That's a great way to do it and do like for a minute on each move, the upper cut, a minute for the jab, a minute on the hooks; then, add in the lunge with the knee, pull. And that's how you burn fat with dumbbells.
