Hi, I'm JJ Virgin, nutrition and fitness expert of, and today I'm here to show you how to prepare a healthy food diet plan. Now, every healthy diet plan starts with what, salad but you know what it's very easy to make a good thing go bad by adding things like Ranch dressing and dried fruit which is just candy, candied walnuts, you get the idea. So what I'm going to show you today is how to put it all together. It will taste great and it will do great things for you too. So the first thing that you're going to know is that you're going to live by the plate when you make your salad. We're going to be putting in loads of non-starchy vegetables, a little bit of high fiber low glycemic carbs, some clean lean protein and some healthy fats. You'll see how it all goes together as I assemble the salad. Of course we're going to start with the greens. Today I'm using spinach and I love spinach because it's high in folates and calcium and of course, fiber and you always want to get that nice deep green leafy color and then I'm going to add in some red pepper. Again lots of fiber. This is really rich in Vitamin C as well so we love our red pepper, some cucumber nice and detoxifying. I love putting cucumber in water too and making spa water. Now those are our non-starchy vegetables. You'll see that I'm working on a rainbow of colors here. I'm going to add in a little bit of a high fiber low glycemic carbohydrate by adding in some beans and I love beans because again they're really high in fiber so they are what we call the slow release carb. Adding in some clean lean protein. I'm throwing in some turkey and I'm going to save the best for last. I'm going to put a little bit of sea salt and I'm going to put a little bit of cracked black pepper. You'll notice I'm not using bottled salad dressings because those tend to have a lot of extra stuff in them that you may not need or want. I'm adding in some pomegranate red wine vinegar, fabulous and a little bit of extra virgin olive oil. I'm going to toss this all and of course we love the mufa oil olive oil. It's great for your heart and can lower blood pressure as well and I'm going to throw in one more healthy fat. I'm going to put a little avocado at the top. This is delicate so I didn't want to toss it in and with that we have our salad that is really the perfect plate. Enjoy. I'm JJ Virgin of and that's how you prepare a healthy diet food plan.
