Hi, this is Wesley Winford, and today I will be showing you how to do some beginner electric guitar stuff. One thing to start off with as a beginner is I would say learn your chords like learn some simple chords like a G chord and a C and a D, A Minor, E Minor, do a E Major, an A Major, just some basic open chords like that to start off with as a beginner. And also as a beginner make sure you know, make sure you know what the strings are like E, A, D, G, B, E, that's a good, whenever, it's good to know that when you're trying to learn some music as a beginner. And one thing to do is whenever you're playing chords and if you're having trouble pressing down the chords, make sure that, make sure your thumb is behind the neck. Like say if you can't quite reach the notes, then always take a look at where your thumb is because if your thumb is over your hand like that and you can't reach them, then put it behind the note and it will give you more, it will give you more space to hit the notes and when placing your thumb, put it between pretty much these three fingers that are doing the chords, are just pretty much in between right in kind of the middle of wherever you're playing chords like right there, so, and for like say a basic C chord, put, I would say put your thumb about where your middle finger would be and you know press down so that you don't press down too hard on it. If you're a younger age then you're fingers might not be as strong, so that's why I suggest putting the thumb behind the neck and pressing it harder but if you're a little bit older but you're just starting off on guitar, you might be able to already do chords and your thumb might be around there which is fine. As long as you are able to do the chords and get them to sound fine. This has been some tips for beginner electric guitar players.
