Hello, I'm Jeanette Conner. I've been a Visual Artist for eight plus years, and today I'm going to show you how to make 5x7 card invitations. For this 5x7 card invitation, I'm going to show you a really cute easy way to make a nice invite. First, you're going to start with 5x7 card stock paper. If you don't have 5x7 card stock paper, you can always just cut it down to size and 5x7 velum or parchment paper. Just line those up and punch two holes with a hole punch at, at top. And then take a ribbon of your choosing and thread it through. Make sure that ends are coming through the front of the card so that you can tie your bow. And you can either tie a simple knot or a full fledge bow. I'm just going to do a simple bow with a top since I have this wired ribbon. Just like that. And then, on the front, with a fine tipped marker, I like this blue because it matches the color blue, but it's going to look darker on the velum and create a nice translucent texture. And I'm just going to write, "You're invited". So there we have the car so far and then on the inside, you're going to put all the information for your invite. The best way to do this, unless you're going to print it out and just glue it down is to take a pencil and a ruler and just draw out some light lines in the center of the page. If you don't feel comfortable free-handing it, you can also write your letters in and then go over them and ink and erase what's blue. I'm just going to freehand this. And just make sure you include all of your party invitation information; that way you have a really simple but nice textured layered party invite. This is Jeanette Conner, and today we learned how to make 5x7 card invitations.
