Hi, my name is Chris Wade and I'm a contractor in the city of Los Angeles. Today I'm going to show you how to replace corroded toilet rings. Alright we've removed our toilet and we see that or you see that your toilet ring is metal and it's corroded. We don't have anything that's like that but basically once you get your toilet off you are going to remove the wax ring. And removed all the old wax that's around it. You are going to take these bolts off. These are what hold your toilet down, you want to save those. And your imagine this being a corroded metal ring. It's going to be screwed down to your sub floor. You are going to want to remove all the screws, usually there are going to be several all around. And you are going to pull it out. Now the best thing to do is to replace it with one of these more modern up to date plastic ones. Very durable, very cheap and they will not rust. You are just going to want to drop it down into your drain pipe that's down here. Make sure it lines up with your drain pipe which is down in the floor. And the important thing is when you replace any toilet bowl ring that these bolts are obviously going to be side to side so they line up with your toilet. And if you look inside here you'll see that there are several or four slots so you get plenty of adjustments. So you just want to just basically eyeball it because it's got a very elongated slot to move these back and forth. And you are just going to want to basically just line it up and screw it back in using several screws. Go ahead and use fill up all the holes there. And you just want to take your toilet bowl bolts and just eyeball them as best you can back into the flange. And then basically you want to take your new wax ring and you just want to drop it back into the hole. And you just want to take your toilet and just drop it back on the bolts. And you just want to screw it back on in the reverse order that you took it off. And that's really all there is to it.
