This is Luke from Leaf Wellness Center in Santa Monica, California. Today, we are going to be talking about advanced core training for the spine. For these two exercises we are going to be using Valslides. But you can easily use furniture movers for carpeted surfaces or hand towels on tiled surfaces. So to start you are going to be in a push up position for the sliding plank with your feet wider then your shoulders. With the hands on the furniture movers you are going to slide one arm out at a time. Focus on keeping your spine and core tight and don't let the hips sway at all. This is the sliding plank. The next exercise is the sliding mountain climber. We'll exchange where the furniture movers are. This time they'll be on our feet. Once again our spine is straight and our core is tight. And we'll move one leg at a time up to the chest. Be careful not to alternate like this. Keep it one leg then the other leg.
