Hi my name is Chris Wade and I'm a contractor from the City of Los Angeles and today I'm going to show you how to clean grout in kitchen tile. Here we are on our kitchen countertop and we want to clean our grout. We've cleaned the surface of the tile but because the grout is a porous material it's going to absorb any spills or any stains or even dirt, dust or whatever, so you want to get in there again with a non-chlorine cleaning product. Here I have a bottle of diluted vinegar which usually works the best especially if you do see stains in it. You just want to spray it on there. You want to take your toothbrush and just get in there and just clean it up real good and this works on any type of a grout whether it be the floor, the backsplash, countertop, kitchen, bathroom, it doesn't really matter and just give it the old elbow grease and if you have to do it a couple more times, scrub it and then just, you know, wipe it down. And just remember that the stains in the grout in the kitchen are going to obviously be much more dirtier than any other place. You've got cooking oil and spills, coffee, juice, just whatever but if you follow this procedure and do it at least once a week you'll be good to go.
