Hi, I'm Amy Newman, fitness expert for Gold's Gym, creator of the Perfect 10 Workout. And, I'm going to show you how you can do abdominal breathing for yoga. When breathing in yoga, you want to take in deep, full breaths, filling up your abdominal cavity, and then coming up into your lungs, opening up your rib cage, and up into your collar bone. First, starting off in your abdominals, feel them expand as you inhale, feel your ribcage start to expand, and your breath go up into your collarbone into a deep, full breath. As you exhale, you push down in the opposite order, pressing from your collarbone into your ribcage, squeezing, exhaling through your abdominal, and squeezing your abdominal muscles, pulling the air all the way out as you feel your muscles come down towards your pelvis. Then, inhale, feeling it expand, lifting up, opening up, deep exhale pushing down. Squeezing the muscles, exhaling completely out. Inhale through the nose, feel your body fill up all the way, exhale completely. Now, when you're in Easy Pose, you relax, and you listen to your breathing. I'm Amy Newman, fitness instructor for Gold's Gym, creator of the Perfect 10 Workout, and those are some exercises in breathing for the abdominals.
