Hi, I'm Amy Newman, Fitness Expert from Gold's Gym Northeast St. Petersburg and Creator of the Perfect 10 Workout. And I'm going to show you how you can do some Yoga poses for tension headaches. You first want to sit in easy pose with your legs crossed as comfortably as you can; both sides of your buttocks planted firmly on the mat. Stretching straight up through the spine, kind of tucking your tail bone under and squeezing your abs in and start to feel your breath, breathing deeply in, then exhaling slowly out. "Hmmm", inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth and nose, "Ahhhh". Try to empty your mind of all thoughts and relax your shoulders, trying to get the tension out, posture helps a whole lot. Pull your neck out of your shoulders and have your shoulders pulled in. Bring the tops of your hands on your knees. Have your index finger and the next finger, both fingers on your thumb. The next finger have it inside your palm and your pinkie out. Hold this pose for about six minutes, emptying your mind, close your eyes and breathing deeply in and exhaling completely out. "Hmmm", "Hhhhhh". "Hmmm", "Hhhhhh". "Hmmmm", "Hhhhhh". As you breath, pretend there's a light coming inside your body. Visualize that light expanding inside of you and releasing all tension out of your body. Relax with each breath, "Hmmmm", Hhhhhh". And you want to do that for about six minutes; then, rub your hands together, making them nice and warm. Even blow into them some hot breath and then put your hands over your eyes. "Hmmmm", "Hhhhhh". You can do the second part while you're lying down as well and just relax as much as possible. And that'll help release all tension in your head. I'm Amy Newman. Thanks for joining me as I show you how to relieve tension and stress headaches with Yoga.
