Hi, I'm Amy Newman, fitness expert for Gold's Gym, creator of The Perfect 10 Workout, and I'm going to show you yoga exercises for osteoporosis. I'm going to have you lay onto your stomach. First get on your hands and knees, slowly stretch out your legs and come down. Bring your elbows underneath your shoulders and bring one fist in the hand. Lift up your chin shoulders are pressed down and relax. Breathe deep into your body. Lengthen through the chin. Now lower your chin down, flex your feet and lift your pelvis up so you are in a plank position nice and straight. Try to hold this with your abdominal muscles. Tighten them, breathe into your body don't hold your breath. Then bring your knees gently down with the tops of your feet. Hands come on to the mat. Bring your buttocks back towards your heels and round out your back. Breathe deep. Lift up onto your hands and knees nice and flat. Stretch out the opposite arm and leg and try to balance. Breathe. Relax. Lower and switch, opposite arm and leg. Stretch through the fingertips and the toes. Lengthen your body and come back down. Pull your tail bone down round up your mid back. Exhale squeeze your abs nice and tight. Then slowly come to an arch lifting your chin. Flatten your back nice and straight. Flex your feet, pull your tail bone up in the air pressing your heels down, head comes between the arms. Pull your tail bone up in the air in downward facing dog. Breathe deeply. Heels are almost on the floor just a little bit above the mat. Breathe, palms of your hands on the floor shoulder width. Head between the arms. Come back into a push up position. Bring your knees down. Sit your heel back, sit your buttocks back on your heels and stretch down and relax. I'm Amy Newman, fitness instructor for Gold's Gym, creator of The Perfect 10 Workout.
