Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, we're going to discuss abdominal exercises using various exercise balls you can find in the local gym. There's a number of types of balls that you can utilize for abdominal workouts that you can find at your local sporting goods store, Walmart, Target, or at a commercial gym that you may be a member of. There's everything from BOSU balls, to stability or Pilates balls, to medicine balls. Balls are going to add an extra sense of core stabilization. Being able to hold yourself on a unstable surface requires the firing of more muscles. So, you've got to increase the amount of muscle groups working in conjunction with one another during the ab workout. So, you're going to get a higher core burn. You're also going to get more bang for your buck, so to speak, in doing your abdominal workouts. Please remember, these tips are just to provide basic information. Always consult with your health care provider and a fitness consultant before beginning any or exercise program.
