Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, we're going to be demonstrating some abdominal wheel workouts. One of the most effective tools for working your abdominal area is an abdominal wheel. Now, these can be purchased at a store, they can be made very simply at home with very cheap pieces and parts that you can get at your local hardware store. Something as simple as a lawnmower wheel and a carriage bolt can make ab wheel. These workouts are very effective, simply because they target the entire abdominal region. So, just about every muscle in the abdominal girdle, from the transverse abdominis, to the rectus abdominis, can be worked utilizing an ab wheel. Now, these exercises can be done with beginners, all the way up to extremely advanced exercisers, making different variations from starting on your knees and just making a slight movement forward with the wheel, to going into a push up type position, where you're balanced on your toes, and really getting a full extension, so that your arms come over your head, and you're wheeling back towards your abdominal area. You can move side to side to target the obliques. More so, you can also, if you're really advanced, even start standing on your feet, bending over, placing the wheel on the ground, rolling out to a full extension, and then coming back to a standing, upright position. So, there's a number of different variations that you can utilize. I guarantee if you throw the abdominal wheel into your workout, it'd be the best ab workout of your life. Please remember, these tips are just to provide basic information. Always consult with your health care provider and a fitness consultant before beginning any diet or exercise program.
