Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, I'm going to discuss the secrets to getting flat abs. You have to have weight training. You have to have your nutrition and you have to have your cardiovascular exercise working in a synergistic manner to have your body release the fat that's storing. Your body doesn't actually burn fat. That's the biggest myth that's out there. The fat cells that you are born with are the fat cells that you are going to die with. The only thing that you can do is reduce the size of those cells and the contents of those cells. If you add 40,000 fat cells from the time that you were born to the time that you exist on the earth today, you are going to still have those 40,000 fat cells, in addition to what you were born with 20 years from now. So what we want to do is we want to get a sound nutritional plan in place. Complement that nutritional plan with weight training and then some moderate cardiovascular exercise. And as you progress through your fitness level you are going to see that your body fat levels are going to decrease. You'll be able to control what you do with your nutrition. If you need some help seek the help of a certified fitness professional or registered dietitian or nutritionist. If you want flat abs some of the things that you should be eating are fresh whole foods, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, poultry, seafood, leaner cuts of red lean meats on occasion are fine. You want to try and steer clear of a lot of hormone fed meats so you may want to keep the red meat to a minimum unless you can buy organic grass fed beef. Seeds and nuts are good things to put in. Steer clear of processed foods, sugary sodas. Try not to drink your calories in your beverages. Please remember these tips are just to provide basic information. Always consult with your health care provider and a fitness consultant before beginning any diet or exercise program.
