Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, I'm going to be talking to you about how to get rid of fat in your abdominal area. There's three necessary components to release fat in the abdominal area. That's your nutrition, weight training, and then moderate cardiovascular exercise. Big mistake that a lot of people make when they are looking to lose abdominal fat is they'll do excessive amounts of cardiovascular. And they don't realize that although they are losing scale weight they are not actually losing just fat weight. A lot of times that weight is muscular weight. And when you lose muscle it lowers your metabolic rate which is going to cause you to utilize less calories throughout the course of the day. And therefore can actually set you up to store fat. There's a lot of people that do excessive amounts of cardio that end up being what we term as skinny fat. So, they still have high body fat percentages, but they have a very soft look, even though they've lost down clothing sizes, maybe lost some inches. So, we want to make sure that we are feeding the muscles properly through a sound nutritional program. Have a concern for muscle to where we're at least maintaining the muscle that you have on your body. Best case scenario is that we can add some muscle to that so to help increase the metabolic rate. And then we take the cardiovascular workouts into play as a final factor in a synergistic fashion so that it's complimenting the nutrition and the weight training. And it provides an open highway to deliver the nutrients to the muscles. Please remember these tips are just to provide basic information.
