Hi, my name is Chris Palmer. Welcome to Chris' Workshop. Today, we're going to plant an ornamental plant out here in the garden behind the shop. To plant a plant, you want to pick a nice spot in your garden and you want to think about how big the plant is going to get. For this plant I'm leaving a couple feet of room all the way around it. Once I picked my spot, I dug a nice hole. I made the hole a little bit big because I'm going to add some organic compost material into the hole and then I'm going to put the plant right in there. You remove the plant from the pot and you break up some of the balled up roots that are in the bottom so they're nice and loose. Then you add your organic compost and gently but firmly press your plant into that materials so the top of your plant is nice and level with the grade. My name is Chris Palmer. Thanks so much for joining us.
