Hi, my name is Katie Kern with CircaPR, a fashion PR firm in Charleston, South Carolina. And, I'm here at Monkess of Daniel Island to show you how to wear a womens suit to a formal event. The materials that you'll need for styling a woman's suit to a formal event are a pair of earrings, a jacket, a skirt, and a pair of heels. A suit is not just for the office anymore, and this is how you would wear a woman's suit to a formal event. You would start with a very tailored jacket, something that's going to be formfitting, and that's going to have a little bit of detail that's going to definitely pop when you walk into a room. This particular jacket has two tones, with your navy and your black kind of giving that little tuxedo feel. You definitely want to go with a very bright or sparkly shirt that goes underneath your jacket, something that's going to pop, and it shows that you have a little bit of style. I went with sequins here, because we have black on black, something to break up those two colors. On the bottom, we have a nice, flirty skirt, not something too formfitting, a little bit of A-line, because you definitely don't want to go for that very, very tight skirt, just because it is a formal event. And then, with your shoe options, you want to go with a strappy heel, or even a closed toes, just in case it's a more formal event. And then, with your accessories, very minimal, because you have this very detailed undershirt here. Earrings, something a little bit sparkly and festive to bring together the entire look. Again, my name is Katie Kern with CircaPR, and this is how you wear a womens suit to a formal event.
