Hi, my name is Chris Palmer. Welcome to Chris's Workshop. Today, we're going to work on spackling interior and exterior holes. This is a lightweight one time spackle. I like to scoop some out of the can and, and put it on a board to work from so the whole can doesn't dry out prematurely. There's lots of different products on the market. Go for something that doesn't shrink and that's sandable and paintable. Take your putty knife, put a little bit on there; press it in first, make sure the hole is well-filled, then come back and clean up the mess. With this product, there's really no sanding required. You can get it really clean just with your knife. All these little holes, you'll never know they were here. The exterior it's really the same process but we use a slightly different product. I recommend using oil-based exterior spackle. If you prime your walls first and then spackle, sand them down and paint over that you have great results.
