Hi, my name is Chris Wade, and I'm a contractor from the city of Los Angeles and today I'm going to show you how to clean excess grout off of tile. Okay, here we are with our newly fresh countertop tile set down. We have waited the 24 hours for the thinset to set up and we're going to, and we just finished grouting and now we're going to clean off all the excess grout. We just finished using this tool now we're going to go to the sponge. I've dipped it in warm water and wrung it out real good and we're going to just start getting all the excess grout off of the tile making sure not to press too hard into the grout joints and pulling it up but if you do pull it up that's okay, you can go right back and just fill some in with your fingers but basically just lightly wiping, getting it off all the tile and just keep wiping until it all comes up. Even though you are going to end up with a little bit of a haze or a white residue, that's going to dry, that's something that you'll deal with when this has been completely dry but this is just, for now we're just getting up all the excess wet grout, wiping it up and that's how you just basically clean up grout that you just freshly laid down.
