Hi, I'm Brandi Allen with Shiva's Centre here in Salt Lake City, Utah and today, I'm going to talk to you about some basic Yoga postures for children. And I have Amelia Louise here to help me demonstrate some of those. So, one of the postures that is very easy to do and kids actually start doing it when they're two years old is Downward Facing Dog and Amelia's going to demonstrate that for us. With her fingers spread wide and heels reaching to the ground and this is an Upside Down posture which helps increase the blood flow to the brain; make you smarter kids. And then, we're going to move up to do a couple of standing postures. Now, we're going to show you a Mountain posture. Amelia's going to stand in her feet together; heart at her heart center, standing tall, reaching her head toward the sky, standing still and strong like a mountain. Very nice. And then, the next posture will be Tree or Vrkshasana, where one foot comes up above the knee with toes pointing toward the floor. Hands stay at your heart to keep you focused and again, the head reaching toward the sky as the foot reaches toward the ground; great for focusing. And again, my name is Brandi Allen here at Shi, Shiva's Centre and these are some basic Yoga postures that you practice.
