Hi, I'm Stacey Grant of Fabuloushealthyyou.com. Today we're going to talk about posture. Now let's face it, many of us don't really practice good posture. A lot of us have this look here going on or an over tilt. So you've got an anterior tilt or a posterior tilt. What you want to do is bring yourself up out of that position. So one way to do that and to test your posture actually is to put yourself flat against the wall, a flat wall. If your head goes forward, you have what's called a kyphotic stance. So you want to pull that back. If you're overly tilted, you have an anterior tilt so you want to tilt that back. So the goal here is to lessen the space between the wall and your lower back. So you're going to flatten that out and move away from the wall. So another way to improve your posture and to test your posture is to go ahead and sit upright and back in a chair. You put a cushion in your lower back in your lumbar spine, go ahead and press against that cushion, pull your shoulders down away from your ears. In the back you've got your shoulder blades coming together. So there you have ideal posture. Most of us are here, we're slumped forward. So again you want to sit up tall, pull the shoulders away from the ears. So this has been Stacey Grant and that's it for posture.
