Hi, this is Tony Zaldua from Budget Bicycles in Los Angeles, and I'm here to explain how to fit bigger tires on your mountain bike. Okay, so basically to fit a wider tire into a mountain bike, your mountain bike, you would have to check the clearance first, because if there is not enough clearance, your tires will actually rub your fork and the brace here. So, the best way to check for that is to just take your pinkies, and just run, run them up and down like this, and if there is ample room your pinkies will pretty much free flow, and if there is not enough room, your pinkies will get stuck and there won't be enough room. So, if you could do that, run your fingers up and down, then there's enough room to go a little bit wider to 2.3. Right now, this is a 2.1 tire, and so you could run a 2.3 or a 2.5 with no problem. Hi, this is Tony Zaldua from Budget Bicycles in Los Angeles, and I just explained how to choose or how to determine the best way to have a wider tire for your mountain bike frame.
