Hi. I'm Deserie with HerbalWise. I'm here to talk with you today about aromatherapy in Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the ancient Hindu system of health and medicine. And it uses three bodily energies, referred to as vata, pitta and kapha. Aromatherapy can help if there is an imbalance in any of these bodily energies. For example, in vata if it is out of balance, it is characterized by anxiety. And this can be helped with the essential oils of bergamot and ginger. If the pita energy is in imbalance, this can be helped with the essential oils of lavender and frankincense. And if the kapha dosa is out of balance, this can be alleviated using the lemon and ylang ylang essentials oils. In all of the imbalances and trying to use these essentials oils in Ayurveda, they can be implemented using a diffuser. I'm Deserie, and this is aromatherapy in Ayurveda.
