Hi, I'm Amy Newman, fitness expert, creator of The Perfect 10 Workout, and I'm going to show you rectus abdominal exercises. Now, the rectus muscles are just the main abdominal muscles. And you can do the basic crunch, but you can actually make it even more fun by doing different kinds of exercises that also target the rectus abdominal muscles. We are going to bring our elbows into one knee, exhaling. Then, stretch out, tapping your heel and your elbows at the same time, inhaling. Then, bring the other knee in, exhale and inhale. Switch, exhale, inhale, exhale crunch, inhale stretch. Exhale crunch, inhale stretch. Exhale crunch, inhale stretch. Now, you can add the reps by going a double knee, exhale, exhale. Then, deep breath inhale, double tap down. Then, other knee in exhaling completely. Inhale nice and deeply. And switch, exhaling and inhaling. Exhaling, inhaling. You can bend your knees and do the same thing by bringing your chest and knee together, and then down together at the same time. And switching, exhaling. Totally working the core of your body, exhaling into it, inhaling as you stretch. I'm Amy Newman. Thanks for joining me as I show you how to work out those rectus abdominal muscles.
