Hello, my name is Traci Parrish. I'm a Graphic Designer, and I'm going to show you how to draw star using Photoshop. Bow, Photoshop has shapes that you can use to make different drawing and one of the shapes is a star so that makes it very easy. We're going to make a new layer and we're going to select the custom shape tool. Up on the top of your screen you'll see a menu of different shapes. If you select down, all of your custom shapes comes up. Right here there are a few different star shapes that you can choose from. There's an outline, a filled-in star and a couple star wars type designs. We're going to select the outline, just so we can show you. I'm going to select a point on my document; I'm going to click and drag. As you can see, the star gets bigger as I drag my mouse. If I hold the shift button, it sits perfectly symmetrical. If I let it go, depending on how I move my mouse, it'll elongate and even invert. We'll hold shift and we'll drag and we'll place it in the center of our document. Now say, you like this star, but you want to change the color. I'm going to select the paint bucket and I'm going to select red. By pointing inside and clicking, the outline is now red. If I want to fill in the inside, I select a new color and click inside the star. And that was a simple way to draw a star using Photoshop.
