Hi, this is Tricia Mann, and today we're going to talk about how to create a smoldering look with makeup. Since the focus is on the intensity of the eye makeup, we recommend that you use a nude lip and a light apricot, or tawny blush, to draw the focus to the eye area. First, you're going to want to apply a light gray color across the lid. Next, we're going to apply a darker color into the crease, again tapping off the brush to remove any excess color. I like to apply a little bit on the outer corner of the eye as it gives the eyes a more open look. Next, we're going to apply a light highlighting color to the browbone and the inner corner of the eye. If you have a little bit of shadow fall under your eyes, you can use some foundation on a Q-tip, and it acts like an eraser to erase that shadow that's fallen underneath the eyes. Apply a dark gray eye pencil using light feathery strokes, finish off with a coat of black mascara, and that's how you create a smoldering look with makeup.
