Hi, this is Victoria Warfel, with DreamDogz Training, located in Gainesville, Florida, here to talk about how to train your dog to not be timid. If you have a timid dog, you don't want to force him into anything. You want to keep training fun and you want him to progress at his own rate. A class like a tricks, nose work, agility are all going to be great to build your dog's confidence. Basic obedience helps too, but you want to watch who you have doing it. Your dog is going to do best with a positive reinforcement trainer with a clicker trainer, keeping it fun and don't expect too much too soon. Your dog will get there, he just might need a little more time.
