Hi, this is Joe Wang, head coach and founder of South Bay Youth Sports. Today, I'm going to talk about how to overcome fear and anxiety in youth football. The main thing to focus on to eliminate anxiety in youth football is to make sure the athlete has fun. At South Bay Youth Sports, we've trained over 1,000 boys and girls from all different sizes shapes, backgrounds, athletic backgrounds and one core focus is that they all have fun. Don't come in with the expectation to have them come to be a star quarterback or running back. They would excel in all positions that football offers. If you're kind of slow, you can be offensive lineman and you can still help the team to win games and from a defensive standpoint, that also helps. You don't have to come in to be a wide receiver or quarterback or running back. The athlete will have fun in whatever position he plays. Football gives the excitement for the young athletes that we need today to drive and inspire to do whatever they feel like they can do. Youth football will help them be successful if they enjoy it. So, let's let them have fun and not try to put them in a position that they are not qualified for. I hope that helps in getting the anxiety out of youth football. Again, this is Joe Wang with South Bay Youth Sports. Thank you for listening how to overcome fear and anxiety in youth football.
