Hi, this is Joe Wang, head coach and founder of South Bay Youth Sports. Today, we are going to cover off-season workout to build speed. For the off-season workout to build speed, you will need cones and you will need field space. We are going to cover the three drills, the shuttle run also known as the five, ten, five. The three cone drills, also known as the L drill. And, the speed turn drill. All three of those drills will improve speed and agility and quickness for the athlete as you will see from the demonstration. Jameson now will demonstrate how to run a proper shuttle run. Jameson, get in a three-point stance. Once you get in a three-point stance, okay, and explode to your right. Ready, set, go. Touch the line, explode through the line. There you go. Nice job, Jameson. Jameson now will demonstrate how to run the L drill correctly. He's going to get into three-point stance. Ready, set, go. He's going to touch, he's going to go back and run through there. He's going to run around the bottom of the L, on top of the L, rip, dip and run through there. This is demonstration of the L drill. Our athlete here is going to demonstrate our speed turn drill. The athlete is going to move on the ball of the quarterback. Go. He backpedals, thinking he's going to pass, he's going to run. Reaction drill, he passes again and looks for the ball.
