Hi, this is Cristen with Cool Springs Eye Care in Franklin, Tennessee, and I'm going to talk to you about how to wear and care for your contact lenses. Always follow the recommendations of your eye care provider when wearing and caring for contact lenses. They are going to have specific recommendations for how long you should wear your lenses throughout the day and how long you should wear a certain pair of lenses before you replace them with a new pair. If you're wearing a daily, biweekly, monthly or quarterly replacement lens, you want to make sure that you're wearing the lens as recommended by your doctor and not stretching it out longer than you should. Also, if you're wearing a lens that's not intended for overnight wear, make sure that you're not wearing it overnight. There are eye infections and other adverse reactions that can happen if you abuse your contact lenses. And that's how you wear and care for your contact lenses.
