I'm Amy Hamilton-Weldon from Oakwood Nail Spa in Raleigh, North Carolina, and we're going to discuss some nail beauty tips. What you need to consider is sometimes to soften your look. So, whatever it is that you like, to soften it a little bit; maybe modify it just a little bit to make it not as blunt or harsh. When I do acrylic nails, I usually tell people to leave it long. But, but if you want your natural nails to look nice, something that you need to do always is push back the cuticles on a regular basis, like once a week and that should be done after a shower or after you've done dishes or something where they're soft 'cause you don't want to push back a cuticle that's dry 'cause that's going to make it crack. The best thing for you to use, you know, you're not a professional, you're at home doing this is your other nail. They have, they sell cuticle pushers in the, in the drugstore, sometimes they're metal; never, never use metal on your nails. It's too hard, it's not going to give any; the best thing you know, is a wooden cuticle stick and this is orange wood 'cause it doesn't splinter. But, for you to do yourself is your own nail. Just push back one with the other and, 'cause your own nail is going to, it's not going to be too harsh and do any kind of damage. Okay, those were just some basic tips; but, you should always consult a nail professional.
