Hi, this is Victoria Warfel, with DreamDogz Training, located in Gainesville, Florida, here to give you some dog training tips. You want to keep it fun, I can't emphasize that enough. Keeping it fun for your dog means that you're going to want to do it, and you dog's going to want to do it. You want to end early on a positive note. So, if you're having a hard time getting your dog to down, but he sits really good, and with a "Sit", and with something he's good at, and don't try for just one more. Sit! Jedi, sit. Come here. Sit! No, you don't want to turn your back. Okay, down. Good girl, good girl! I see so many people get into trouble whenever they're dog's doing really good, and as soon as they think, "I'm going to do it just one more time", I tell them to, "Stop. That's enough, let's just end on that really, really good note." If you have a lot of rewards you can use for your dog, such as treats, and ball, Frisbee, squeaky toys, your affection, makes training a lot easier. So, if you can get your dog motivated into playing with a tennis ball, playing with a Frisbee, it's so much easier to train your dog. And, keep it fun.
