Hi, my name is Victoria Warfel, with DreamDogz Training, located in Gainesville, Florida, here to talk about how to train your dog to not kill cats. First, if you can, if you have a cat already, start with a puppy. If you're cat's kind of bossy, it's even better. If you have a timid cat who's going to run away and be afraid, you're going to have to do a little more work. You want to keep it fun, start with a tired dog, and claim the cat as yours. My kitty. Back. Give your cat an escape route in a safe area. If your cat feels, you know, "I can run away from the dog", and jump up onto, you know, the top of the refrigerator where the dog can't get to him, he's going to feel more secure, and your dog's going to feel more secure, that "Oh, I can't get him up there. Oh, he's nothing to worry about."
