This is Victoria Warfel, with DreamDogz Training, located in Gainesville, Florida. I'm here to talk to you about how to house train your puppy. Your crate is going to be your friend in the house training process. If your dog is not crated, your dog is going to be on the end of a four to six foot leash with you in the house, directly supervised in the house, or he's going to be outside on leash with you. If he has any accidents in the house, you want to clean it up with an enzyme cleaner. Regular soap and water don't cut it for this, or your puppy will be drawn back to the same spot over and over again. Supervise, supervise, supervise. And when he does potty outside, praise him for it. When he's finished, you don't want to interrupt him during the process, but when he's finished, praise him wildly. Give him some treats, it's time to play ball, but good things don't happen outside like play until the potty happens.
