Hi, this is Victoria Warfel, with DreamDogz Training, located in Gainesville, Florida, here to talk about how you can keep your dog outside without a fence. First, don't banish your dog to the outside. If you put you dog outside, and you're going to be inside on the comfy couch watching a football game, your dog's not going to be happy, and is going to run off, bark, dig, do something undesirable. Your dog wants to spend time with you. So, when you take your dog outside without a fence, have him on a leash. It doesn't have to be the six foot leash that you use on walks. You can buy 50 foot leashes, you can buy 30 foot leashes, and just let it trail after your dog. And, play with them. Let them go potty, play with them, make it just a great thing to be outside with your dog on a leash. You can also get one o the ground stakes and tether it, so your dog can go outside and spend some time outdoors alone. But, no more than five to 10 minutes. You can also set up a pulley system, a dog run, from tree to tree. And, that way, your dog can explore and you can be inside watching the rest of the football game.
