Hi, everybody. It's Matthew, coming to you, once again, with over 22 years in the travel industry. I've worked on cruise ships as well. In fact, I've been on over 400 cruises in my life. And, you might have heard of the expression, "CLIA". That's what I'm here to talk about today, CLIA, it stands for Cruise Line International Association. So, what is this all about? Well, it was started in 1975, and it's basically for your protection, to make sure that whether you work on a cruise ship, or if you're a passenger aboard a cruise ship, that it is a safe environment for you. Now, this was amongst 25 cruise lines in North America under the act of the Federal Maritime Commission. So, basically, they're there to protect you, and make sure everything goes well, from affordability, reliability, it's also there to help the environment regarding cruise lines. Basically, it's there for your protection to make sure that you have a great cruise experience whether you're working on a ship, or you are a passenger. CLIA, now you know what it's about.
