Hi, this is Jason Morgan with Muscleworx Fitness in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. Today, I'm going to show you some tips and exercises on how you can strengthen the ligaments in your legs. When we're dealing with the ligaments in the leg and around the knee area, ankle area in strengthening those, we want to make sure that we're not dealing with an acute injury, an injury that is going to be aggravated by doing these exercises. So, check with your health care provider. They may recommend some physical therapy. Your physical therapist will give you specific exercises due to your specific situation whether it be a tear or a strain or just a weakness. Now, some of the things that you want to focus on could be isometric exercise where you're just placing a constant amount of tension or a static hold so to speak on the tendon or the ligament. You may progress into something like a leg extension or a leg curl to strengthen the ligaments in the knee. All these things once again will be talked to you about by your health care provider, a Certified Fitness Professional or your physical therapist. Those are just a few ligament stretching exercises that you can do for your legs.
