Hi, it's Alan Trout, here over in atmmusicstudios.com in Nashville. We're just talking about tuners. A lot of guitar tuners are not chromatic tuners. They're just designed, they're affordable, just if you do something that's chromatic it just means you can change the key on it so you want to be in 440 all the time, that's 440 beats per second. It's the same note that's on your grand pianos when you hit the center A. So, make sure you guys are all tuned before you come and play. The worst thing that can happen is if a guitar is out of tune, or there's somebody in the wrong key tuning their guitar, and then trying to do a set or a song. But real simple, you just plug in, you're a quarter inch directly from your guitar, turn your tuner on and just come straight down each string. If you get a green, then you know you're in shape. Let it vibrate for a couple seconds. If it stays on green for most of the time, you're in good shape. Don't worry about if it drifts off, because that's the vibration slowing down per second. So, we've got A. We've got my D, the G, sort of indicate it's a little flat. I'm going to come over here and bring it up just a little bit. See, there it goes right back to the green light. You've got your B, pretty solid, pretty steady on the green light which is dead center. Then your high E, it says it's flat, I'm coming up with it, look at that right to the G, right to the green. Let's check the low E, always a tough one to tune by ear. Notice if you pull the string too hard the vibration is going to make it go sharp, and that's too hard to hit it. You want to hit it nice and easy and wherever it stays, the majority, especially on the low E, is kind of where you're at. There you go, look at that, it's coming right up to it. It's still vibrating and I haven't touched it, great. This one has LED lights, it's really great, especially if you're on a dark stage and you just need to check your tuning; a great little device; make sure you keep your guitar tuned and don't go out there if it sounds bad. Keep it tuned.
