There is nothing worse than looking in the mirror and seeing sagging skin. I'm Kelly Machbitz, your Tampa Bay beauty expert, and I'm going to talk to you today about how to prevent sagging skin. Here my model Nanette is going to demonstrate some items for me but first of all I would like to talk about getting a facial moisturizer that has firming ingredients in it. They're on the market everywhere, look for something that has copper or the words firming in the description. That will tell you that it does have those firming properties and again you're going to apply this in a gentle upward motion. You never go down on the skin because that will create looseness and sagging in the skin. So, here we've applied a nice moisturizer that has some firming properties. But what I really like to talk about for sagging skin is facial exercises that can actually help to prevent the skin from looking sagging. So, the first one we're going to do is for the forehead so we don't have any of the droopiness on the forehead or in the eyebrow area. So Nanette, please take the first three fingers of your hand and place them just above your eyebrows. Now you're going to squeeze this muscle up here and you can feel the resistance with your fingers is actually helping to tighten the muscle there and I know I've had people say well facial exercises create more wrinkles but that's what this is preventing. Holding the fingers there against the muscle is helping to prevent those wrinkles from forming. The second exercise I'd like to do is actually going to prevent the sagging in the eye area. A lot of people get bags under the eyes so again we're going to take those first three fingers of both hands, gentle pressure against the cheek bone area and then squeeze the cheeks and you can feel that muscle working. And then the last exercise I'd like to do is to help firm up the jawline and neck and this one you tilt your head back and pretend you're chewing gum. So, you're going to tighten those mouth muscles that help tighten along the jaw and neck. So, that's how you prevent sagging skin. I'm Kelly Machbitz, your Tampa Bay beauty expert.
