Hey, how's it going? I'm Da Beav with Wild 94.1, based out of Tampa, Florida, club DJ and radio DJ. And right now, I'm going to show you how to use a mixer while DJing. A couple things you really need to know, of course, your power button and you have separate levels. These are called channels, one, two, three and four. There's either, usually two channels or four channels on the mixer. These can be hooked up to either your CD players and, or turntables, okay. You also have a master level. Now, if the mater level is not up, if the other channels are, you won't hear anything. So, master level definitely needs to be up, that's what you really need to know. Also, your headphones, your headphone jack, you have a level in your headphones and you can queue up the sounds in any other channels. And listen to it in your headphones, without it going over and hearing it over the speakers. You also have the crossfader an what this does, basic for scratching is what most DJs use this for. You can have theses channels up and you can either go left or right between the two of them. So, you don't have to keep moving up and down the separate channels, individually. And those are just few of the basics that you need to know about how to use a mixer while DJing. I'm Da Beav, based out of Tampa, Florida.
