Hello, my name is Eric Shapiro. I'm with a company called Ghostwriters Central. We're located in South California, and we attend to the custom writing and editorial needs of a wide variety of clients. Today, we're going to discuss one of our favorite services, which is speech writing. Particularly we're going to go into how to write a great persuasive speech. When it comes to writing a persuasive speech, the main thing to keep in mind is that your sense of conviction is going to be contagious to the audience. The last thing you want to do when you're trying to persuade people is be passive or timid or reluctant. You don't want to make too many concessions to opposing points of view or be wishy washy or even very flexible in what you're conveying. It's important to be very streamline and focused, and I daresay maybe even a little bit narrow in what you're bringing across. Because you have the audience's attention, and when you're in that privileged position, you're able to sort of sculpt their awareness, so you shear away any points that are not supportive of your argument. You keep everything very centered and concrete on the cores that you want to get across. Don't worry about errant, dissenting thoughts that will occur to people. It's not your responsibility. You're there to convey a single point of view, getting it across tightly, cleanly, consistently. Use a lot of repetition because that will help to sort of drill things across and make it more memorable and resonant, and in the end you'll have an excellent persuasive speech. So again my name is Eric Shapiro, I'm with a company called Ghost Writer's Central, in southern California, and we attend to the writing and editing needs of a wide variety of clients all over the world, and today we talked a little bit about how to write a great persuasive speech.
