Hi, my name is Andrew Dryden and I am going to show you how to change the blade on a Skilsaw. Things you'll need: a circular saw blade and a 3/4 inch wrench or socket. First, turn the Skilsaw off. Then unplug the Skilsaw from the wall so there is no power to the motor. Press the safety button to lock the blade. Lift the safety guard. Lifting the guard slides it out of the way and exposes the blade so it can be removed and replaced. Use a 3/4 inch wrench to remove the retaining bolt from the center of the blade on your Skilsaw. When the retaining bolt has been removed the blade on the Skilsaw will be loose and can be lifted out and set to the side. Place a new blade in the Skilsaw. Line up the hole in the center of the blade with the hole that the retaining bolt goes in. And finally, replace the retaining bolt to lock the new blade into position. Once the blade has been replaced slide the safety guard into position and release the safety lock. And that is how to change the blade on a Skilsaw.
