I'm Sarah, professional makeup artist and licensed aesthetician, and I'm going to show you how to apply eyeshadow professionally. What you're going to need is a blending brush like this with soft bristles, an angled brush, two if you have them because that's just great to have, and a nice flat, thicker eyeshadow brush. What I did is I first painted on an eyeshadow primer. One that I used was from Mac, it's their Mac Paint Pot, and this just keeps the eyeshadows there longer, makes the eyeshadows brighter, and also it stops eyeshadow from creasing. So, what we're first going to do is we're going to start with a highlighter and you're going to highlight the brow bone and take this as a base. It's going to be our base too, all over her eyelid. Okay, so this is where we're going to start. Next, you want to take your medium colored eyeshadow and you want to put that on her lid so we are going to use a nice pretty gold like this bronze, sort of rust, looks very, very pretty, and we are just going to put this on her lid and then we will use the darkest color that we have to move to the crease of her eye and we're going to put that there so it creates depth and dimension and we're going to use two, we're going to use a nice darker plum. I'm going to apply this with my angled brush and I'm going to apply it right here. So, and then we're going to blend this all in together. These are nice colors that blend well, and I think that that's key to picking out your eyeshadow colors is picking out ones that will work nicely with each other. So, what I'm going to do now is take my blending brush, and I'm just going to go under her crease and make small little circles to blend that nicely together, and then I'm going to make sure that it blends nicely with the color on her lid. Okay, that is how you apply eyeshadow professionally. For more tips and tricks, you can check out
