This is Dr. Brent Wright, discussing with you how to artificially have twins. Twinning is a natural process that occurs, but in the last two decades in the United States, we've seen a marked increase in the incidents of twinning, and multiple gestations in the United States. The most recent headline news with that of the Octomom, and how she had eight babies. All of this is a byproduct of fertility drugs, and embryo transfers, and in vitro fertilization. You can see your reproductive endocrinologist in local areas. Generally, this is available for people that are unable to conceive naturally and need some increased or enhanced ability to have reproductive technologies, use them to conceive pregnancies. And, I think what you'll find is that it is a quite controlled, more in the current, we try not to have more than twins, and definitely triplets, because as you add more embryos back, or more problems, increased complications for those pregnancies that are existing goes up. And, so the outcome be more difficult problems, and less likely to carry on to term. So, this is important to see your doctor, discuss these things.
