Hi, I'm Seth Hampton, the movement master, and I'm going to be demonstrating some lower back stretches for arthritis pain relief. So, we want to be on the floor, or on your bed. This is a very gentle stretch, just to open up the lower back area. Again, always being safe and cautious. Lying back down, I'm going to just simply capture my knee to the front here, and just easy draw it in. This is to relieve the lower back area. If the arthritis in the knee is pretty severe here, you fall, you cause cranking in the knee, you can capture from underneath your leg too, allowing space, and performing the same movement. Drawing in, to a range that feels comfortable for you. We'll do that on each leg, one at a time. You can always keep the bottom leg bent if needed to if to modify. And, you can build up to the idea of doing both knees at the same time. It's great for relieving stress for the lower back. Again, modify under the knees if needed, holding for about five to 10 counts, building up to a little bit ranger motion to about 15 counts, and breathing while you do so.
