How to Adjust Bicycle Saddle Height

Hi, my name is Ulises. I'm here at Metropolis Bicycles in North Hollywood, California, and I'm going to show you how to adjust the seat height on your bike. There's many different types of seats and many different types of bikes that have a lot of different types of clamps. But, the one thing that matters is you're only going to have two modes of adjustment, which is a clamp with a bolt or a clamp with a quick release. In this case, we're using a clamp with a bolt, so you're going to need a tool. In my hand is a multi-tool with a four, five or six millimeter. This is a five millimeters, so we're going to use the five millimeter tool. You're just going to loosen this bolt up. The seat will now slide up or down. The seat post will slide wherever you want it to. Crank this bolt down. Make sure the seat is even with the frame. Crank it down. And that's all you've got to worry about. Now, in the case with the bicycles with quick releases, the quick release is a self-contained tool. All you have to do is flip the quick release lever; the seat will go up or down, flip the quick release lever back down tight, and your seat's been adjusted.
