Hi, my name is Iwan Fuchs. I'm here at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania. I am The Seven Springs Snow Sports School Director. The tip of the day is how to teach kids. The material used in this segment is skis. In many cases with kids we do not want to use poles especially when they are eight and younger. Three tips to make it a more enjoyable vacation for you is always go down to the eye level of the kid. Put your goggles up and go down to your eye level with the kid. Second, talk less, ski more. Kids are visual learners. They are skiing and they are learning by doing it. So talking less on the slope might help you and the kid to actually have a more enjoyable time and the kid will actually learn more. The third tip is using skill parks. Every resort and everywhere you go you probably will find a children's development park or skill park as we call it. They are most likely to have rollers and tunnels and porta-pipes in it that the kids enjoy. They are colorful. They have characters. That's what kids love. They love colorful areas and characters and all those little things help them to learn. Remember, fun, safety equals learning. So here at Seven Springs we have an Arctic Blast which we have polar bears in it and rollers and tunnels and that's how we learn and that's how we teach the kids.
