Hi, I am Bill Walker, and I am going to show you how to mount blinds on the outside of a window. You will need a drill, a Phillips drill bit, a tape measure, a pencil, the brackets for the blinds, the screws that came with the blinds, and the blind. The first step is to measure the window from edge to edge. Subtract the number from the actual width of the blind. Then divide the number by half and that will tell you how many inches past the edge to place your brackets. Place the bracket at this spot and mark with a pencil. Make sure the brackets are even. Insert the drill bit into the chuck of the drill. Screw the bracket in place using the drill. Do this on both sides. Now slide the blinds into the brackets and close the levers. And that is how to mount on the outside of a window.
