I'm Tara Pollak, physical therapist at Evolution Physical Therapy, here to teach you some range of motion exercises for the knee. So Shante, as you lay on the table on your back with your leg straight out, your knee is in an extended position. It's all the way straight. So, to get simple range of motion, all I want you to do is slide your heel up the table to bend your knee as far back as it goes without any pain. And then slide your foot all the way back out against the table. Good. Go ahead and slide it all the way up and then all the way back down, good. So we are getting range of motion into flexion of the knee. And range of motion to extension all the way down into the knee. Now, if you have any increase in pain with this exercise I always encourage you to consult a skilled physical therapist. And they can help you with this exercise so that you don't worsen your condition. I'm Tara, and these are range of motion exercises for the knee.
